Monarchs Proving to be a Force in CAA Play
Ask Coach Blaine Taylor about the most memorable moment of the early 2009-2010 season, and without a doubt he'll point to the 61-57 win over then #11 and previously undefeated Georgetown on December 19. But Taylor didn't consider the game an early Christmas gift. Instead, he determined it was a sign of what this team is capable of in the upcoming months.

It seems he was right. With a thrilling last second win over JMU on January 6, the Monarchs currently stand 4-1 in conference play and look ready to take on CAA rivals.

ODUAA has several opportunities to witness the team in action in February and March. Check out the schedule and join us as we cheer the team onto more wins!
Lady Monarchs Face Tough Competition Early to Prepare for Conference Play
The Lady Monarchs began their season with the nation's fifth toughest strength of schedule according to Collegiate Basketball News.

Now settling into conference play, the players are ready to prove this tough schedule has them ready to compete with the best of the league. With a 69-59 victory over CAA pre-season favorite Drexel on January 10, it looks like the team is prepared to win.

ODUAA will be there to celebrate at the annual Hoops for the Cure game versus conference rival JMU. Reserve your tickets today to support this great cause and this promising team!
