 Registration for Homecoming 2023 is now open. Below you will find a list of ODU Alumni Homecoming events. Events marked with this symbol  require pre-registration. Please follow the instructions for each event closely to ensure proper registration. 

Thursday, September 21

  6:00 - 9:00 p.m.  Alumni Honors Dinner, Norfolk Waterside Marriott, 235 East Main St. This event will bring together alumni, faculty, friends and corporate partners to celebrate as the University recognizes outstanding graduates who have excelled in their professions and impacted their communities. We will also recognize the members of the Class of 1973 with their induction into the Golden Pride. Proceeds from the event support ODU Alumni Association (ODUAA) programs and the ODUAA Scholarship Fund.

 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. Monarchs Give Back, Mitchum Basketball Performance Center
Monarchs Give Back: Community Service Project highlights the University's commitment to partner with the Hampton Roads community. This second annual event is a campus-wide food collection to benefit Hampton Roads children experiencing food insecurity. This year, ODU's goal is to collect 20,000 non-perishable items. This date and time serve as the culmination of collected items; all are welcome to gather for a short celebration and packing of backpack food bags. 

 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. & 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.
Tours of ODU's new College of Health Science Building 
Interested in getting a first-hand look at ODU's newest campus addition, College of Health Sciences (COHS) building? Join COHS faculty on a guided tour of this new state-of-the-art facility that is not yet open to the public. The tour has limited space and registration is taken on a first come, first served basis; there are two allotted times to choose from. 

 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Alumni and Friends Homecoming Social with Fireworks!,
ODU Sailing Center 
Join ODU alumni, faculty, staff, and community supporters for this second annual event! This event will be held outdoors along the historic Elizabeth River and feature music, food, activities, and fireworks! 

 8:00 - 11:00 p.m. BAC Social at Baxter's, 500 Granby Street
Join in the tradition of gathering at Baxter's with fellow Black Alumni Chapter members as they officially kick off Homecoming weekend! Guests pay for their own food and drinks. A portion of the night's proceeds will be donated to the R.L. Horne Scholarship.

Saturday, September 23

11:00 a.m. ODU Homecoming Parade, ODU's campus
Join the ODU community for this time-honored tradition. The parade will begin on Powhatan Ave and continue onto 49th street. Be sure to wear your Monarch attire! 

 12:30 - 3:00 p.m., Alumni Tailgate, Kaufman Mall
Come by and tailgate with other alumni, fans and supporters! Enjoy buffet, cash bar, music, games and raffles. Game tickets and tailgate tickets are available at www.odualumni.org/football2023. Game tickets are also available at ynottix.com or by calling (757) 683-4444. 

 Time 1:00 - 5:00 p.m., NPHC Homecoming Reunion, Williamsburg Lawn
In the spirit of Homecoming traditions, come and renew old friendships with NPHC Fraternities and Sororities. No rain location.

  3:30 p.m., ODU vs. Texas A&M University - Commerce Football Game,
S.B. Ballard Stadium
Head to S.B. Ballard Stadium where the Monarchs will take on the Texas A&M University-Commerce Lions! Game tickets are available at www.odualumni.org/football2023 and also at ynottix.com or by calling (757) 683-4444.  

 11:30 p.m. - 2:00 a.m., BAC Midnight Cruise, Spirit of Mount Vernon 
Join members of BAC for a midnight cruise along the Elizabeth River on the Spirit of Mount Vernon, a three-level ship. Enjoy food, beverages, music, and dancing while cruising along the downtown Norfolk and downtown Portsmouth skylines.
$55 pp includes buffet, 1 drink ticket, entertainment and cruise.

Sunday, September 24

 10:30 a.m. - Noon, BAC Brunch, Webb Center
 Join members of the Black Alumni Chapter for brunch to close out Homecoming weekend.
Cost is $25/person.
