Meet Our Staff

Dana G. Allen
Assistant Vice President for Alumni Relations

Dana comes to ODU with more than 10 years experience in the management of volunteer programs. Most recently she served for over 5 years with the Penn State Alumni Association, the largest dues-paying alumni association in the country. As the Associate Director, Volunteer Services, she directed the awards and volunteer training programs and worked with numerous affiliate groups across the country. In addition, she staffed the Executive and Awards Committees of the 86 member Alumni Council and supervised the Association’s Regional Directors. Prior to joining the staff at Penn State, Allen was Director of Volunteers at Mary Baldwin College where she oversaw the admissions volunteer program, worked with the alumnae board of directors, managed chapters, and advised the student alumnae relations society, receiving recognition as Adviser of the Year in 2001.

Dan Campbell
Director of Constituent Relations

Dan joined the Office of Alumni Relations in September 2005. He is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with the academic units at ODU with the goal of developing programming to engage alumni of the colleges. He has worked in higher education for more than a decade working at both Loyola College in Maryland and Bridgewater State College in Massachusetts in addition to ODU.

De'Laine Goodman

De'Laine joined the Alumni Office in February 2006, and is the editor for the alumni newsletter, True Blue. She also creates and designs the e-newsletters, along with overseeing the alumni website, the online community and the alumni section of the ODU magazine. De'Laine has over ten years experience in public relations, marketing, and communications. Contact De'Laine if you have a story idea that our alumni would find interesting.

Melanie Boffo

Assistant Director for Special Events

Melanie joined the Office of Alumni Relations in May 2008.  She is a graduate of Radford University and recently completed her Masters of Education in Sports Management here at Old Dominion.  Melanie's event management experience includes a variety of events with the University and throughout the Hampton Roads community.  Most recently she served as an Event Management Associate for Disney Sports Attractions at Walt Disney World.

Correy Hudson
Assistant Director of Outreach

Correy Hudson joins our team after a two year period with the Peninsula Division of Big Brothers, Big Sisters. After graduating from Hampton University in 2006 with a BA in Advertising, Correy served as the Marketing/Public Relations Assistant, and later as the Community Relations Manager with BBBS, managing events such as their golf tournament and wine tasting, agency recruitment and community outreach.
