Monarch Connection Mentorship Program
The Monarch Connection Mentorship Program matches alumni up with current students who have similar career goals or majors.

Senior Breakfast
The Alumni Association sponsors a senior breakfast two times each year, honoring May and December graduates.

Keys to the Kingdom Commencement Recognition
At the May and December commencement ceremonies, representatives from the Alumni Association welcome new graduates into the Association with a small gift.

New Student Send-Off Parties
Alumni in various regions of Virginia (Richmond, Northern Virginia, etc.), as well as several other states, open up their homes each August to welcome incoming students to the Monarch family. This is a wonderful opportunity for new students to meet one another before they move to Norfolk.

Outstanding Scholar Awards
During the May and December graduations, the student with the highest grade point average from each college is recognized as an Alumni Association Outstanding Scholar. One of these graduates is also recognized as the Alumni Association's Top University Outstanding Scholar.

Student Athlete of the Year Award
Each spring, the Alumni Association honors two student-athletes - one male and one female -- as the Student Athlete of the Year.
